Cool song lyrics

Here are some cool lyrics I found and liked: just thought I'd share...

I've got some friends, some that I hardly know
But we've had some times, I wouldn't trade for the world

Awesome, huh? They are from the song Swing Life Away by Rise Against.

Don't you all love my loyalty? This is like the 7th post today :) But I guess this is just one of my pass-times. Because I like it so much. I'll tell you all, I'm sure you've been amused or entertained by some of my posts, but I can't tell you how much more I am entertained and amused by my own writing :) I often crack myself up =D (.|.) <-- peace symbol <3 =D

Peace, love and happiness,

Molly

Emancipation Proclamation

Cool thing we did today:

We went to the HENRY FORD museum!!!!! Feels like I haven't been there for ages! We went to see the real Emancipation Proclamation. It's only out of the national archives 36 hours a year, and all 36 are at the Henry Ford for the next few days this year!!!! We waited about 2 1/2 hours to see it for 5 min, so suggestion if you are going to see it, bring some friends like we did and you'll be sure to be able to entertain yourself! haha... it felt like half an hour. Doesn't time fly when you're having fun? And because I like so much of what I occupy my time with, not just time but life flies!

So it was pretty cool! We got to see Abe Lincoln's REAL signature. Like, the original! WOW! But I've also seen the chair he was shot in, which has his DNA on it, so.... I mean.....

See you all soon! Drop me an email or give me a call sometime, I miss you all! I have this thing that whenever I'm not with someone I miss them :)

Owl City

I have to tell you a bit about this singer that is amazing. He is from Minnesota, music is his life, and the best part is that he is a Christian! To clarify the last part, he is not a Christian singer, he is a very popular secular singer, but he does sing some Christian music! And his name is.... Adam Young! Now anyone who has not been informed about him from me (or anyone else) probably knows him as Owl City, the band that became super popular with his song Fireflies. Great song, btw. But I do love his new song Galaxies. Christian song! Yay!
So today I am going to offer proof that Adam Young is a Christian. First, he acknowledges it on his blog. Second, it is mentioned in various songs. Third, he has a video about touring and before he goes out to sing him and his band pray together (and watching it you actually hear him praying!) Cool huh?
He has a great voice and his talent is definitely a gift from God. His songs are filled with great sounds, and his music is both relaxing and inspiring :) Thanks for your awesome music, Adam Young! And thanks for acknowledging your faith for all the world to see! Proverbs 3:6 "In all thy ways acknowledge [God], and he shall direct thy paths."

Pool

Alright, I know I haven't posted in a while. Ok, a long time. But we are getting a pool installed in our yard and it is sort of taking over our life. Even now I am on our iPad blogging from the terrace so that I can watch the pool guy, Dave, dig up the area. Here is a picture of what I see:

Never mind. Blogger can not upload from the iPad. So I will have to describe it: Dave is in this awesome little bobcat digger. (I LOVE IT! HE ACTUALLY LET US GET PICTURES SITTING IN THE DRIVERS SEAT! and if you need a Christmas gift idea...) he has leveled out about a 30 foot diameter circle. Our pool is actually 27 feet in diameter, but he needs a little extra room. Now he is measuring out the 27' area. He will spray paint it with an orange circle.

There are many bugs flying at my face. It is quite inconveniencing. I know, bug spray would be a good idea. But I already used some, and the bugs still love me. Great to be popular, huh? :)

Ok, so now he is spray painting. He did two circles so that he knows where to start going deeper. (the middle is going to be 6 feet). The smaller circle is about 3 feet or so smaller than the big circle on each edge. Dave's companion in pool installing, Sean, is starting to dig out the smaller circle.

Yay! The Bushel Mart people are here! They are bringing sand to use underneath the pool! And they finally arrived!

Ok, so anyway, later today some guys are coming to really install the pool. They will put up the walls and put the liner in. We should be able to start filling tonight.

Ok, gtg. Sys!

To all my friends

There are big ships and small ships.  But the best ship of all is friendship.  ~Author Unknown

Here's a little tribute to my friends: (who are related to me and unrelated to me).

Friends make you smile
When the world makes you cry
Friends give you comfort
When the world passes by
Friends stand beside you
When everyone leaves
Friends will support you
They'll help you believe
Friends give you good times
The world calls us odd
Friends stick together
We're like peas in a pod
With all of my friends
I've had marvelous fun
You all bring me smiles
You can't be outdone
So thank you for being
My friends through it all
In our times together
I have had a ball!

This is to all my friends - please don't think "oh she's just writing that to so-and-so and not to me" because then you're lying to yourself and we wouldn't want that to happen, now would we? And to all my friends, whether I just met you or I've known you for years, you are all amazing and I'm truly blessed that God has given me all of you.

Please comment or call me or email me or text me. Miss u ;)

2wordstory

I have another 2wordstory also:

Fearless?

I used to ask God to help me with something, and then decide that He wanted me to help Him out. I would then take action towards whatever it was. God has showed me that “Once we surrender our mind to GOD completely, HE will take care of us in every way.” - Sri Sathya Sai Baba. I have learned that I don't need to be afraid of what might happen if I let things go, but I can be Fearless knowing that everything is in God's hands, and because He loves me so very much, He will take over my circumstances, whatever they may be.

I'm letting go lyrics by Francesca Battistelli:

This is a giant leap of faith
Trusting and trying to embrace
The fear of the unknown
Beyond my comfort zone
Chorus
I’m letting go
Of the life I planned for me
And my dreams
Losing control
Of my destiny
Feels like I’m falling and that’s what it’s like to believe
So I’m letting go

Fearless? Fearless.
